A note from our Executive Director, Jada Bratton

As I sat in the crowd of echoing cheers, gazing at the sea full of satin red gowns, I spotted our graduating resident. There were no cheers overheard, other than my own, when his name was announced. He walked hurriedly across the stage shaking hands with each Administrator that he passed. My eyes flooded with tears knowing that his family was not present to experience this great milestone with him; and yet he carried on with pride. It took grit for that young man to walk the stage that morning. A trait that is not genetic, nor inherent, but one of great perseverance in overcoming adversities. A trait that takes pain and suffering and turns it into strength.

I can attribute this unique trait to each of the youth that we serve. A strength that sets them apart from some of their peers… At PYR we remain diligent in ensuring that each of our resident’s are given the opportunity to attain their education. As we enter the new school year we prepare them with the essentials that they need to be successful - from school supplies to back to school clothes that lift their self esteem.

We extend a BIG thank you to our donors who play a part in making their school year a success. We look forward to celebrating our next Graduates in 2025.

We want to give a huge thank you to the amazing youth at Parks Youth Ranch for helping us label over 800 Save The Date cards for our upcoming Cowboy Up fundraiser on Saturday, September 28 at Safari Texas. Their hard work and enthusiasm made a big difference, and we couldn't have done it without them.

Our youth love helping out with these kinds of projects, and it shows in the incredible job they did. We are so proud of them!
